I am passionate about helping others wake up and experience their deep connection to Life, to their alive feral creative powers within, to their embodied coherence with the Deep Feminine Current—right here and now!
Born in 1966, I spent most of my childhood growing up in Michigan. My parents taught me from a young age to think outside of the box. After earning a BA in Philosophy from Wheaton College, I lived in New York City and Philadelphia for 13 years working with mentally-ill and drug-addicted homeless folks. During that time I earned my Master of Divinity in Theology and Spirituality from Westminster Theological Seminary.
In 2000, I married Robert and we were soon blessed with three beautiful boys, now ages 13, 15 and 18. We moved to the enchanting city of Albuquerque, NM for 6 years before settling in Cotati, CA in 2009 with four feral cats, dog Bodhi, medicine pig Chewy, and a ball python named Willie. Our boys enjoy their Waldorf charter schools as well as various sports teams.
When I found out that I was pregnant in 2001, I began my journey into alternative medicine. I already appreciated the importance of good nutrition, so to this I added a passion for homeopathy, herbs, flower essences and essential oils. Our family was only using alternative medicine, however, we often needed to visit natural practitioners when we were sick in order to get well. Then in 2008, I began to use Holistic Kinesiology which enabled us to communicate directly with our bodies. It was incredibly empowering to discover for ourselves which remedies our bodies needed for healing.
Even more significant was that we were finally able to ask deeper questions about the emotional and spiritual imbalances that were causing the illnesses. This was a major paradigm shift for me. We began to be grateful for physical symptoms which are our body's way of communicating with us. Through the process of becoming aware of old stories, false beliefs, and trapped emotions we began to experience healing at a much deeper level. We learned to dance with our shadow sides, and to appreciate the beauty and vitality in the parts of ourselves that we had suppressed in order to make others happy. Discovering energy healing modalities was powerful and transformative for our family.
The next step in my journey was exploring an even deeper level of reality than the physical and energetic. This is the level of Being which is also known as Pure Awareness, Stillness, Breath of Life, or God. In my experience, surrendering to this level is incredibly simple and yet profound and powerful. I began to realize that many different natural remedies and energy healing methods are able to help us heal, and sometimes even cure an ailment. However, it is not the particular remedy or technique but instead the accompanying Presence that ushers in the healing. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy has been an essential part of my journey in learning how to take my feet off of the controls—the gas and the brakes that we call the Autonomic Nervous System—and begin to allow something else to move through me. I found that this is when the original blueprint of health can start to emerge, and healing naturally occurs with ease.
Additionally, in 2016 I began taking journeys to Teotihuacan, Mexico. Being immersed in the energy at Teo I experienced a subtle, gentle and easy—yet profoundly transformative—way of slipping into new healthy, life-giving ways of being. I realized there is nothing that needs to be fixed in me, but instead Black Light—the spiraling energy of creation in Teo—can comb through and unravel old patterns with ease and grace. This has been remarkable! And it is a great joy for me to invite others to join me on Teo retreats.
Through the years I have really enjoyed teaching classes on spirituality, meditation, nutrition, raw food, spiritual birthing, mindful eating, feminine energy, and holistic kinesiology, as well as facilitating forgiveness ceremonies and hosting Toltec Mitotes. My greatest joy is to invite people into their own direct experience with Her! More recently I have trained as a Death Midwife and Home Funeral Guide. I feel incredibly privileged to spend time with people at the end of their lives.
My life's work has been an invitation to others to experience the ongoing cycles of death and rebirth—of letting go and then remembering your YES! You are an essential gift! You are alive, here and now!
Antimony is an alchemical symbol for the wild and free parts of human nature. It binds together concepts of evolution, aspiration, vitality and oneness. Antimony is a plant rising from a seed, a soul reaching toward the heavens. Joy, freedom and celebration are present in the uplifting of its arms and rising of the spirit.
In its natural form, antimony is a mineral which displays an exceptional external appearance. No other metal known appears in nature like antimony. Its ray-like extension in every direction convey a manifestation of energy from a core of enormous vibrancy. It was praised highly by the ancients for its hidden medicinal virtues.
For me, antimony is a symbol of our potent feral nature which is connected to all of life.
