Trips & Retreats
I invite you to journey with me into the magic
of Teotihuacan and Tolontongo, Mexico!
Villa Las Campanas is a place for creativity, contemplation and celebration. A small hotel and retreat center, it is a place to call home while exploring the energies of Teotihuacan.
Participants can explore the pyramids, temples and ancient caves,
engage in an art class with international artist Emily Grieves,
connect with mystery in a sweat lodge ceremony with local guides,
remember their feral nature in the jungles and hot springs of Tolontongo,
and much more!
Realign, Rejuvenate, Rewild!
What and Why Teotihuacan
Teotihuacan abounds with mystery! The two-mile Avenue of the Dead is lined with pyramids over 2,500 years old, as well as layered temples, some up to 14,000 years old. Archaeologists have no idea how or by whom they were built. Beneath the pyramids and temples is a network of natural caves with a tunnel system that some scientists believe was hand-dug 24,000 years ago!
The caves—shaped like four leaf clovers—contain a mysterious energy that shamanic traditions call "black light.” Astrophysicists have recently discovered that this light is the energy of the expanding universe, the same energy of creation found in black holes in space. Black holes are places from where all things emerge and return, and have no space or time. There are very few places on earth that contain the intensity of black light which is found in the caves of Teotihuacan.
The caves below Teo root deeply into the wisdom of the earth while the pyramids above them reach beyond the stars like tuning forks into cosmic energies. The magic of embodied coherence happens when in ceremony we consciously place ourselves within the harmony of this spiraling double helix. We remember our YES!
Immersion in black light is an opportunity for transformation and expansion beyond our wildest imagination, and invites us to dream a life full of love and care for ourselves and those around us.
The expansive flowering energy of creation—black light—is everywhere, so why would one travel all the way to Teotihuacan? The harmonious spiraling energies in Teo are open, receptive, strong and flowing, especially at this time in human history when we are dreaming the New Earth. They possess an incredible coherent presence which supports gentle, easy and loving shifts in perception and being. And, once connected with this energy, it becomes easier to recognize and access wherever you are.
A trip to Teotihuacan will catapult you
into wild blossoming!

If you arrive later, we will arrange for other transportation. Please do not book your return ticket before 3:00pm on the last day of the journey. We will be arriving at the airport around noon in order to get PCR tests and check in. If this is not possible, then you will need to make arrangements to stay overnight in Mexico City and fly out the next day. There are various options for hotels at the airport for your convenience.
Traveling to Mexico during these times
As of now, Mexico does not require Covid19 vaccination or a PCR test. There is a simple health form that is sometimes required for entrance which can be found through your airline or at the airport when you land. Returning to the United States requires a negative PCR test which is available at the airport for $35. We will arrive at the airport in plenty of time to take the test and receive results.
For journey participants we will not be requiring Covid19 vaccination or PCR tests. Masks are not required at Villa Las Campanas. Masks are required to get into the pyramids, however they are not required once you are on the grounds.
Visiting the Pyramids. Most of the time we will be exploring the pyramids, temples and ancient caves in Teotihuacan. In the sacred places of intense spiraling energy we will spend time in ceremony meditating and dreaming.
Intentional Art Class. Emily Grieves is an incredible artist and will be offering a two hour intentional art class on the first day as a creative way to digest our experiences in Teotihuacan. The art studio will then be open day and night for use during our visit. www.emilykgrievesart.com
Sweat Lodge. Patti and Arcadio will be offering a traditional Temezcal sweat lodge during our journey. This is an amazing portal for expansion and transformation but certainly optional as they are not for everyone.
Las Grutas de Tolontongo. This mountain jungle paradise of 104 degree waterfalls, caves, pools and river is beyond description. Please visit http://www.grutastolantongo.com.mx/en/ to see photos and videos of this natural wonder. We will be staying in comfortable cabins in the mountains of La Gloria where some rooms have private baths and others have bathrooms a short walk away. There is also an option to camp in tents. We will cook meals on an open fire, as well as eat in a nearby restaurant. Besides relaxing, exploring and integrating our Teotihuacan experiences, we will have several dreaming ceremonies to remember our innate feral connection with the beauty and nourishment of Mother Earth.
