In this evening together, we will use art, journaling, group reflection, poetry and song, along with fire, earth, water and air to cleanse, purify and make room for the reemergence of creative wisdom within us.

Building Resilient Systems: Transitioning to Self-reliance

Please join us on Saturday, August 28, 2021 for our first workshop on building resilient systems, lead by local sustainability expert Roy Smith. This workshop will focus on practices which promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency while building relationships with neighbors and the local community. The workshop will conclude with an optional tour of Roy’s property,  an opportunity to see practical applications of his ideas.

Through awareness and guided meditation, we will delve into the various feminine and masculine energies that we see active in the world and within ourselves. We will explore our relationship to pure and distorted forms of these active and receptive energies, while taking an honest look at our reactivity. We will consider our responses to injustice, competition and arrogance. Do we react by fighting back or shutting down? Do we meet life’s challenges with stillness, love, radical honesty or vulnerability?

There is yet a new way of being that is emerging and urgently being revealed in the here and now! SHE opens her heart and body to the Great Mystery. SHE dances and makes love to life instead of transcending it. SHE powerfully embraces and savors it all. And YOU have access to HER—the Deep Feminine Current. In fact, you are HER! The great news is that you don’t need to be fixed. SHE is waiting to be remembered in you.

Come immerse yourself in HER. Feel how the seed of vibrant wholeness living deep within you can unravel and spiral with embodied coherence, bringing harmony to your life and those around you. Harmonizing Our Internalized Madonna/Whore Split

In this workshop, we will inquire into our personal and communal internalization of the Madonna/Whore complex. We will examine our culture’s insistence that a woman is either a good girl or a bad girl—either a compliant self-sacrificing virtuous domesticated repressed maternal figure on a pedestal, or an independent wild indulgent earthy sexual woman with self-authority. In reality, we are Madonna and Whore, two sisters who desperately need each other! In order to resurrect the Deep Feminine, we must tend to this confusing split within ourselves.

We will take an honest look at how we have embodied both the redemptive and shadow forms of the Rose (Madonna) and the Flame (Whore), and how this split lives deeply in the collective consciousness. Today’s feminist movement often encourages women to rebel against the Madonna archetype and regain their power and sexual freedom through resistance, arrogance and anger. This has caused many women to lose touch with their hearts, compassion, innocence and soul. Other women righteously reject the archetype of the Whore and opt for stability and respectability. They sacrifice their truth, desires, and ferocity
while becoming dull and subservient.

It is time to leave these polarities behind! The union of the Flame and the Rose is an absolutely essential part of you, and the beautiful authentic manifestation of HER in this world. Through awareness and guided meditation, come experience this place within you that is both wild groundlessness and innocence, both passion and virtue, both crazy wisdom and kindness. She is waiting to be remembered.

Body Wisdom Workshop

Communicating directly with your body through Holistic Kinesiology is one of the most empowering tools you can learn for your health and well-being. Energy testing enables you to understand the imbalances in your body and get to the root causes of illness and emotional distress. It's actually quite simple - anyone can learn!

Our bodies are continually communicating with us through physical symptoms. However, most people have lost the intuitive relationship with their body which they naturally had when they were a child. As we grow up, society teaches us to give this power over to medical experts who diagnose and label our symptoms.

To learn to access your body's wisdom, we will experiment with over 10 different methods including muscle testing, listening to your intuition and body signals, swaying, using a pendulum and dowsing rods. These are also effective ways to communicate with your pets.

The workshop is appropriate for ages 14 and up.
